About Us

Sanzuka Afrika is a non-profit organization based in Tanzania, dedicated to empowering young people aged 15 to 30 in three key areas: sexual and reproductive health and rights, economic empowerment, and gender equality. Rooted in a human rights framework, our mission is to provide comprehensive support and education to enable informed decision-making, access to economic opportunities, and advocacy for gender equality among Tanzanian youth.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our efforts primarily contribute to SDGs :

In addressing sexual and reproductive health and rights, we uphold the fundamental human rights of all individuals to make autonomous decisions about their bodies and health. Our initiatives actively contribute to SDG 3, striving to ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services, including family planning, information, and education, as well as the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programs.

Our economic empowerment programs are grounded in the recognition of the inherent dignity and worth of every person, as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Through skills training, job placement services, and support for entrepreneurship, we uphold the rights of young people to access economic opportunities and contribute meaningfully to society, aligning with the principles of SDG 8.

Furthermore, our commitment to promoting gender equality is rooted in the principle of non-discrimination and equality before the law. By challenging gender norms and stereotypes, advocating for girls' education, and empowering young women to assume leadership roles, we strive to create a society where all individuals, regardless of gender, have equal opportunities to thrive. This aligns with the objectives of SDG 5, which seeks to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Sanzuka Afrika's integrated approach, grounded in human rights principles and aligned with the SDGs, underscores our dedication to fostering a brighter future for Tanzanian youth. By empowering young people to make informed decisions, access economic opportunities, and advocate for gender equality within a human rights framework, we contribute to sustainable development and the realization of the SDGs while upholding the inherent dignity and rights of every individual.

Why us?

To effectively connect with young people and convey our message in an engaging and enjoyable way, we employ a combination of art, ICT (Information and Communication Technology), and advocacy. By using these tools, we aim to simplify and clarify our communication. Here's how we do it:
1. Art: We harness various forms of art, such as visual arts, music, dance, and theater, to capture the attention and imagination of youth. Through creative expressions, we can convey complex ideas and emotions in a visually appealing and relatable manner.
2. ICT: We leverage technology and digital platforms to enhance our outreach. This includes using social media, websites, mobile apps, and online communities to engage with young people in their preferred digital spaces. By utilizing interactive multimedia content, videos, and gamification, we make the learning experience interactive and enjoyable.
3. Advocacy: We employ advocacy techniques to advocate for important causes and issues relevant to youth. By combining art and ICT, we create compelling narratives and stories that highlight these topics, ensuring that the intended message is both accessible and impactful.
Our approach ensures that the message we want to deliver remains simple and clear, enabling youth to understand and connect with it more easily. Through this combination of art, ICT, and advocacy, we strive to create a fun and interesting environment where young people can actively engage and participate in meaningful discussions and actions.
